Below is a brief list of some of the known types of medications that may alter the way your body reacts to light which includes IPL & Laser. It is of utmost importance that you consult with your prescribing physician if you are at all concerned about the medication you are taking.
Common medications that may cause photosensitivity include but are not limited to:
- Anticancer drugs
- Antipsychotic drugs
- Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
Laser HRH require you to complete a Medical Questionnaire before you commence treatment at our clinic. Each time you return for subsequent appointments you will be asked to fill out a Returning Client Form, which asks you to confirm if the details recorded on your original medical questionnaire are still current & up to date. It is your responsibility to inform the Laser HRH technician of any health or medication changes throughout the course of your treatment. Failure to do so may result in complications.
