Say goodbye to painful waxing and shaving, and hello to permanent IPL/Laser hair reduction. Getting rid of that unwanted body or facial hair doesn’t need to be a chore, nor should it cost you a fortune.
At Laser HRH, with the use of the latest IPL/SHR technologies on the market, our trained technicians are committed to ensuring that your expectations are not only met, they are exceeded. We have the ability to completely customise each client’s treatment, ensuring you can achieve your desired results.
IPL stands for Intense Pulse Light. This light is used to target specific cells in your body, to either denature them or stimulate them depending on the desired outcome from the IPL treatment.
If performed correctly IPL should be a fairly painless experience. Here at Laser HRH our state of the art machines utilise “ICE” pads on the handles to cool the skin before each shot, increasing patient comfort.
At Laser HRH we have both technologies available.
To explain the difference between IPL & Laser, simply think of the colours in a rainbow. A rainbow is the result of sunlight refracting or bending through water droplets in the sky, creating or displaying a spectrum of colours. Each of these colours, starting at violet, & going through to blue, green, yellow, orange & red, are all just different wavelengths of visible light.
Simply put, most lasers in the medical industry fire one wavelength / or one colour of light, so they only reach one specific depth in the skin. IPL has the ability to fire all of the colours, & filter out certain wavelengths of light starting at 400nm up to 1200nm, and /or any combination of wavelengths in between so that only those suitable for the specified treatment and client’s skin characteristics are used. This means that IPL has the versatility to treat a wide variety of skin concerns safely and effectively. At Laser HRH we use IPL for most hair reduction treatments.
Several factors will have an impact on how many treatment sessions you may need, including diet, lifestyle, medications, hormones, tolerance to light, & even treatment consistency. We usually suggest somewhere between 6-12 is a good guide to work to.
The treatments should be spaced from 4 weeks between your first few appointments, gradually increasing to 8 weeks apart. Yearly to bi-yearly top up treatments are often recommended.
